ChatGPT Plugins. An Everything App.

OpenAI announced the introduction of plugins for ChatGPT to interact with 3rd-party apps.

This one is a big deal, and it’s probably going to be bigger than the iPhone moment (probably).

Here’s why:

Now people can build and connect third-party apps with ChatGPT.

For example, since ChatGPT is just a language model, it struggles with math. However, a calculator plugin would allow it to excel in this area.

Plugins can now enable ChatGPT to:

  • Browse the internet for information.

  • Restaurant recommendation.

  • Go shopping online, and more.

There will be a "Plugin Store" just like the App Store where users can obtain or possibly purchase third-party plugins.

At the time of writing this, ChatGPT is now equipped with plugins created by companies like:
