PLUS: Discord begins its AI Race and Grammarly, a Writing Beast

Howdy, how are you doing today?

Despite setting multiple alarms, I just couldn't seem to drag myself out of bed. But, eventually, I managed to peel myself away from the warm, cozy blankets and start my day and write this email to you all.

I actually felt a lot better after writing it :)

In today’s edition:

  • 🦾 ChatGPT-4 to generate videos and images?

  • 🏃 Discord begins its AI Race and Grammarly, a Writing Beast

  • 🛠️ AI tools and resources

Reading time - 4 minutes only

1/ ChatGPT-4 to generate videos?

Microsoft Germany's CTO Andreas Braun has announced a new version of its language model, GPT-4, and called it a game changer in AI (maybe it will be ChatGPT on steroids)

He said it might release next week, so the internet is going crazy for the new and better ChatGPT.

Reports suggest, GPT-4 will likely have multimodal capabilities, which means users will be able to engage through multiple modes such as text, images, videos, and sounds.

The previous generation was only capable of producing texts.

Reportedly, OpenAI is also working on a mobile app powered by GPT-4 which will give users the ability to make videos using AI.

2/ Discord Begins its AI Race

Discord is going all in on the AI race by leveraging the power of OpenAI's ChatGPT to improve its current Clyde bot.

Some of the most significant upgrades are Clyde's ability to:

  • Answer questions and chats in a more personalized manner (like Bing).

  • Provide summaries of conversations.

  • Recommend music, send GIFs, and much more.

It also includes an avatar remix & a shared whiteboard, which can generate AI images from doodles using text-to-image technology.

It’s a risky and bold move…

It uses the same technology as ChatGPT and Microsoft's Bing, which are generating false information and rude responses recently.

So, Clyde could potentially do the same. But let’s see and hope it does well this time.

The release of Clyde is planned for the upcoming weeks.

3/ Grammarly is set to become a Writing Beast

Do you struggle with writing professional emails or crafting the perfect social media post?

Grammarly has recently announced the launch of its new AI tool, GrammarlyGo.

So now I can finally call it all-in-one Writing Beast because it can now:

  • Suggest ways to make your messages better, easier to understand, and shorter.

  • Change the tone of your message depending on the situation.

  • even differentiate between a casual and formal response.

Grammarly has helped me a lot with my writing, I am glad it’s making it even better.
