UPDATE

Generating images with AI from a simple text prompt is getting faster ā€” a whole lot faster than ever before thanks to a new model released by Stability AI.

Itā€™s called Stable Diffusion XL Turbo, a fast AI image model that creates images as fast as you can type your text prompts.

It's much quicker than the previous model, using a new technique called Adversarial Diffusion Distillation to cut down steps from 20-50 to just one.

This speed might enable real-time AI video filters or game graphics.

Test drive SDXL TurboĀ here.

UPDATE

OpenAI's custom GPTs have a major security issue where private and important data can be easily taken which is a big worry for privacy.

2 main security risks were identified by the researchers:

  • System prompt extraction: Revealing the chatbot's initial programming, compromising creator's ideas and privacy.

  • File leakage: Unauthorized access to files uploaded by creators, risking privacy and intellectual property, especially with sensitive information.

Detailed info is available in this research paper.

ElevenLabs, a text-to-speech company, has launched a new program to help startups and individual entrepreneurs. They're offering their software for free.

Here's what it includes:

  • Users can use up to 11 million characters per month for three months. This helps them develop, test, and grow their products without worrying about initial costs.

  • To apply, you need to show how you plan to make money in the long run. Projects that are just one-time things won't qualify.

Clever move! This initiative is significant as it helps newcomers overcome the cost barrier of AI software, potentially leading them to become paying customers later.
